Cleator is a small village situated in West Cumbria, between the Irish Sea at St. Bees and the Lakeland fells surrounding Ennerdale Lake.
The Cricket Club runs three weekend league teams and are setting the standard of excellence for junior cricket in the county.
Season 2005 sees us pushing for both Senior and Junior honours. Our new professional, Deighton Butler, is tried and tested in the cold and damp conditions of Northern English League cricket! Coupled with beating last season's league champions on the opening fixture this season, we have great expectations of the first team. The seconds will hopefully consolidate their status, now the squad has more experience of playing against other club first teams complete with their professionals. The thirds remain the lifeblood for the future of the club and continue to give younger cricketers the opportunity to play at a more senior level.
The junior squads will hopefully continue to provide youngsters of the finest quality for the county and North of England teams. If you have a child who is interested in cricket, why not bring them down on a match day and meet our fully qualified coaching staff?
